Materials

Material selection is key to your process, and its suitability will depend not only on the medium, but also on the flow rate, temperature and pressure of the system.  Badger Meter valves can be manufactured in a wide range of materials.

Standard cast valves are available in carbon steel, AISI 316 stainless steel, 1.4571 and 1.4581 stainless steel and Hastelloy C4.  For other materials, the valve will be manufactured from solid bar.  The trim will normally be manufactured from the same material as the body, but this will depend on the pressures involved as some of the smaller trims will need to be manufactured from high strength materials.
